Course Preview
The first stage of the Vuelta a Espana also features the first mountain contact. The final 25 kilometres includes the the succession of the Karabieta Mountain Pass (2nd category) and the Alto de Arrate (2nd category). Those two climbs, though not excessivelty difficult, will begin to mark the first differences in the general classification.
