Course Preview
From an opening flat stage, we immediately hit the mountains, where we can expect the yellow jersey to change hands after the 187km stage. The climbs on the menu for the day will be a definite shock to the legs, especially the first two climbs, the Col de Colmiane (16.4km) and Col de Turini (15.9km), which both average 6-7 percent gradient. Those able to make it over the climbs in the lead will be in contention for the downhill finale to the line in Nice.
