I've made some major updates to the live 3d tracking on our desktop tracker (live.tourtrackerprocycling.com) and our mobile apps! Lots of great feedback from users resulted in a few bug fixes and some additional features I cooked up. Here are a few of them!

  1. Better Rider Group Presentation: The floating marker has been optimized from two pieces that often overlapped with other riders (the icon and the panel) to just one that also includes the grade of the road at that point when it is greater than 5%.
  2. Tiny Bikes: During that transition, I realized the little dot on the ground was a bit disappointing. Why not add a full 3D rendering of a rider on a bike? No it is not the color of the team. In fact it is just one bike per group of riders. For now... 😄
  3. Time Machine: You can now enter Time Machine from the 3D view. Tap the Time Machine icon - circular arrow - to enter how many KM from the finish you want to view. You can also just tap on the profile to update the position.
  4. Commentary on Mobile: Mobile live tracking can now include the commentary positioned just above the profile.
