2026 World Championships TT is in the books. The final results and standings are below, followed by our recap of how the race unfolded.
Race Recap
Remco Evenepoel (BEL) won his fourth world time trial championship in succession with a dominant performance that saw him finish 57 seconds faster than runner-up Filippo Ganna (ITA). Paul Seixas (FRA) finished 1'13" back to take the bronze medal.
Very quick off the start ramp and through the first corner, Evenepoel maintained that momentum through the three intermediate checkpoints. Nine seconds up on Jakob Söderqvist (SWE) at the first of them, he was 35 seconds up on the Swede at the second and 48 seconds ahead of Ganna at the third, as the Italian emerged as his closest rival.
The early running was made by Byron Munton (RSA), who held the lead for 20 minutes until he was edged out of the leader's hot seat by Jasha Sütterlin (GER).
Sütterlin barely had time to settle in the hot seat before Kasper Asgreen (DEN) forced him out of it, although the Dane's marks at the intermediate checkpoints were already being bettered than Seixas and Söderqvist.
The French teenager rode the second half of the course particularly strongly, putting himself into medal contention. He finished 35 seconds quicker than Asgreen, then watched as a string of rivals came up short.
Söderqvist was very well placed to beat Seixas until he misjudged a left-hand corner and slid off. Although he was quickly back in the saddle, the time he lost probably cost him a medal.
The penultimate rider on the course, Ganna, who'd started comparatively slowly compared to Evenepoel, quickened on the long straights in the middle section of the course and went through the line 15 seconds up on Seixas. He barely had time to draw breath, though, before Evenepoel flashed across the line to claim the title once again.
