2026 Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana Stage 4 Results & Recap
Stage 4 of the 2026 Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana is in the books. The final results and standings are below, followed by our recap of how the race unfolded.
Race Recap
Remco Evenepoel (Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe) took his fifth win in just seven days of racing with his new team when he soloed to victory on the queen stage of the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana in Teulada Moraira. After his Red Bull teammates had set the pace in the bunch all day, Evenepoel attacked halfway up the super steep ascent of the Cumbre del Sol. Antonio Tiberi (Bahrain Victorious) stuck to his wheel for 300 metres, but the Italian couldn't hold the pace and Evenepoel went over the top of the climb with a 15-second gap.
Although João Almeida (UAE Team Emirates XRG) and Brandon McNulty (UAE Team Emirates XRG) joined Tiberi in the pursuit of Evenepoel, they failed to make any inroads into his lead. At the line, the Red Bull leader was 25 seconds ahead of Almeida, who just edged out Giulio Pellizzari (Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe) for second place. Tiberi was fourth, while Americans McNulty and Magnus Sheffield (INEOS Grenadiers) filled the next two places.
The result meant that Evenepoel will start Sunday's final stage in Valencia with a lead of 32 seconds on Almeida, with his Red Bull teammate Pellizzari in third place, another couple of seconds back.
