2026 Tour of the Alps Stage 3 Results & Recap
Stage 3 of the 2026 Tour of the Alps is in the books. The final results and standings are below, followed by our recap of how the race unfolded.
Race Recap
Tom Pidcock won stage 3 and the Tour of the Alps has had three different stage winners in three days. The Pinarello Q36.5 rider timed a reduced bunch sprint in Arco perfectly, edging Tommaso Dati by a narrow margin, with Egan Bernal (Ineos Grenadiers) third after a day that served up enormous climbing but put the decision in faster finishers' hands.
The 174.5km from Laces featured 3,620 metres of elevation gain, headlined by the Hofmahdjoch (22.2km at 5.7%) in the opening 50 kilometres โ the longest climb of the entire race โ followed by three more ascents including the Andalo (14.4km at 5.4%). Despite all that, the descent into Arco and flat run to the finish made this a day for the legs and the sprint. Pidcock was best placed among the survivors, going clean and late. Race leader Pellizzari (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) finished safely in the same group, preserving his four-second advantage over Arensman. Bernal's third place puts him into the overall podium picture. Tomorrow is the queen stage, and it is a very different kind of day.
