2026 Tour Down Under Women Stage 1 Live Coverage
Welcome to our live coverage of Stage 1 of the 2026 Tour Down Under Women! Our live profile and commentary are below, followed by a preview of the technical aspects of the route.
Course Preview
First up on the pro women's agenda is the Fleurieu Peninsula. This time, it’s not Willunga Hill shaping the story, but rather an opening route that promises to showcase the region at its summertime best.
Sprinters will be eager to claim the season’s first UCI Women’s WorldTour win, while GC contenders are set to size up the competition across 137.4 kilometres – our longest women’s stage ever.
Coastal vistas at Aldinga Beach and Port Willunga are on the agenda, and riders will also pass many of McLaren Vale’s best wineries. Racing will start and finish on Willunga’s main street, another ideal vantage point for fans following the action.
