2026 Tour de Romandie Prologue Results & Recap
Prologue of the 2026 Tour de Romandie is in the books. The final results and standings are below, followed by our recap of how the race unfolded.
Race Recap
Dorian Godon (IGD) handed Tadej Pogačar (UAD) just his second defeat of the season as he won the 3.2km prologue time trial that opened the Tour de Romandie in Villars-sur-Glâne. The Frenchman finished 6 seconds ahead of Ivo Oliveira (UAD), with Jakob Söderqvist (LTK) in third place, Mauro Schmid (JAY) in fourth, Axel Zingle (TVL) fifth and Pogačar sixth, 7 seconds behind the winner.
On a course shaped like a stretched V, with a descent from the start ramp, a short flat section and then a long drag up to the finish line, the very punchy Godon was a level above the rest of the competition. Already the winner of two stages at Paris-Nice and another two at the Volta a Catalunya, Godon stomped up the climb, his power giving him a significant edge on the more specialist time triallists.
Pogačar was the highest of the likely GC contenders, a second ahead of Primož Roglič (RBH) and three clear of Red Bull's other leader, Florian Lipowitz. Antonio Tiberi (TBV), Carlos Rodríguez (IGD) and Lenny Martinez all ceded 10 seconds to Pogačar, while Oscar Onley (IGD) suffered the biggest loss among the favorites, yielding 28 seconds to the world champion.
