2026 Tour de Romandie Prologue Live Coverage
Welcome to our live coverage of Prologue of the 2026 Tour de Romandie! Our live time-trial times and commentary are below, followed by a preview of the technical aspects of the route.
Course Preview
The Tour de Romandie opens with a 3.2-kilometre prologue. The course is fairly straightforward, with riders looping in a wide arc below Villars-sur-Glâne, encountering hardly any sharp corners along the way.
There are only a few gentle bends, meaning the riders hardly need to brake and can tackle the course at high speed. It is not completely flat, however, as the route includes 69 metres of elevation gain. Most of this comes from an 800-metre climb at 6.9% inside the final 1.5 kilometres.
The Tour de Romandie almost always begins with a prologue. Last year it was won by Samuel Watson, following in the footsteps of Maikel Zijlaard (2024), Josef Cerny (2023) and Ethan Hayter (2022).
