Stage 21 of the 2026 Tour de France is in the books. The final results and standings are below, followed by our recap of how the race unfolded.
Race Recap
Mathieu van der Poel (APT) won what was without question the best final stage of the Tour de France in decades. Having triggered a breakaway with yellow jersey Tadej Pogačar (UEX) the third and final time over the cobbled ascent of Rue Lepic in Montmartre, the Dutchman rode away from the Tour winner in the final 500 metres and just managed to hold off the final rush from the sprinters, who were led in by his teammate Jasper Philipsen (APT), with green jersey Mads Pedersen (LTK) in third.
Pogačar finished the pack just behind, celebrating his record-equalling fifth Tour de France victory.
