2026 Tour de France Stage 17 Live Coverage

Course Preview
The Tour de France’s 17th stage is billed by ASO as a flat stage over 175 kilometres. Flat is a matter of perspective, as the route includes nearly 2,400 metres of climbing.
From kilometre 15 onwards, the route runs mostly upwards for a good 30 kilometres. That section culminates in the Col des Prés: 3.5 kilometres of climbing at an average gradient of 6.6%.
The riders then descend back towards Chambéry before tackling the Col de Couz, an 8.6-kilometre ascent averaging 2.8%.
With that, most of the climbing is done and dusted. The terrain rolls steadily on, then turns mostly downhill over the final 35 kilometres. Yet there’s another short rise about 6 kilometres from the finish: 2.5 kilometres at 3.5%. From there, it’s flat to the line.
The finish town of Voiron may not rank high in cycling’s historical hierarchy, but it’s making a name for itself. Ben Turner took a stage there in last year’s Vuelta. Get more details at cyclingstage.com.
