Welcome to our live coverage of Stage 8 of the 2026 Tour de France Femmes! Our live profile and commentary are below, followed by a preview of the technical aspects of the route.
Course Preview
The longest stage of the 2026 Tour follows the Route Napoléon from Sisteron toward the Côte d’Azur. The riders pass through the Durance and Verdon valleys before crossing the fourth-category Col des Robines and Col de Toutes Aures. Much of the second half follows the River Var toward Nice, but the finale is more difficult than its flat classification suggests. The Côte de Colomars and Côte de la Ginestière interrupt the approach to the coast, while a short ramp inside Nice reaches 13.6% with about six kilometers remaining. Those late climbs could inspire an attack or reduce the peloton before the finish on the Promenade des Anglais, though the sprinters will still view the stage as one of their final opportunities.
