Course Preview
Stage 2 begins in Aigle and travels through the Vaudois vineyards before turning toward Geneva. Although officially classified as a flat stage, the route includes five categorized climbs. The steepest is the 900-meter Côte de Bougy-Villars, which averages 10.4%, followed by the 2.3-kilometer Côte de Mont-sur-Rolle at 6.5%. A succession of smaller rises near Begnins could put tired sprinters under pressure, but the final categorized climb comes nearly 50 kilometers from the finish. That should give the sprint teams enough time to regroup and organize a chase before the expected bunch finish on Quai du Mont-Blanc in Geneva.
