Course Preview
The Tour de France Femmes begins with a rolling loop around Lausanne and toward the shores of Lake Neuchâtel. The route includes four categorized climbs, beginning with the 1.6-kilometer Côte de Châbles at 7.7%. The Côte de Villars-le-Comte and Côte de Vulliens come in quick succession on the return toward Lausanne, creating an opportunity for attacks before the decisive uphill finish. The riders face a final 2.5-kilometer climb averaging 4.6% to Place Saint-François, where the first yellow jersey will be awarded. The finish should favor a powerful sprinter or puncheur capable of surviving the repeated climbs and producing one final acceleration in Lausanne.
