2026 Tirreno-Adriatico Stage 4 Results & Recap
Stage 4 of the 2026 Tirreno-Adriatico is in the books. The final results and standings are below, followed by our recap of how the race unfolded.
Race Recap
Mathieu van der Poel won again today, and Isaac del Toro survived a tough 213km from Tagliacozzo to stay in the race lead. The Dutchman claimed his second stage of this race with a perfectly-timed sprint from a reduced group of 14 at the end of a long, hilly ride through the Apennines toward the Adriatic coast.
Van der Poel read the finale with his usual precision — patient, alert, and then explosive in the final stretch. He led Giulio Pellizzari (Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe) and Tobias Halland Johannessen (Uno-X Mobility) across the line. Del Toro finished tenth, safely enough to hold his overall lead. The GC picture has not shifted dramatically, but every rider's legs are accumulating significant fatigue. The real climbing stages are imminent.
