2026 De Brabantse Pijl Results & Recap
2026 De Brabantse Pijl is in the books. The final results and standings are below, followed by our recap of how the race unfolded.
Race Recap
Anders Foldager (JAY) took the biggest win of his young career when he showed a clear pair of heels to the peloton in the reduced bunch sprint that decided the Brabantse Pjil. The 24-year-old Dane finished well clear of runner-up Quinten Hermans (PQT), while Benoit Cosnefroy (UAD) took third place ahead of French compatriot Romain Grégoire (GFC) and Eduard Prades Reverter (CJR).
After an early 6-rider break had been reeled in, a group of 3 went clear on the second ascent of the short and steep cobbled ascent of Moskesstraat with 30km remaining. Grégoire instigated the move and was joined initially by Ramses Debruyne (APT). Cosnefroy bridged up to the pair. A few kilometers later Milan Lanhove (TFB), Tibor Del Grosso (APT) and Anthon Charmig (UXM) followed suit.
Going into the third and final lap on the 19km finish circuit, Jelle Johannink (URR) made it 7 up front, although the Dutchman dropped away from the leaders on the last haul up Moskesstraat, where the gap between break and peloton dropped to just 9 seconds.
Yet, while the bunch wavered a little, the front group kept collaborating, pushing its lead out to 21 seconds with 5km left. They still had 15 in hand with 3k remaining, but were reeled in going onto the fourth and final ascent of the S-Bocht climb into Overijse, Foldager's teammate Mauro Schmid (JAY) bringing the bunch up to them.
Mathieu Burgaudeau (TEN) made a final bid for solo glory on the climb, but was caught just before the top of it. Coming out of the right-hander at the crest and into the final straight, Prades led out, but was rapidly overtaken by the flying Foldager, who was never in danger of being caught.
