Course Preview

La Vuelta's 19th stage isn’t flat in the strictest sense, but the undulations along the route shouldn’t discourage the sprinters from targeting a victory. However, they’ll need to bear in mind that the finale features a gentle uphill drag. The stage spans 161.9 kilometres.

The riders face approximatley 1,400 metres of elevation gain, spread out over various gentle inclines. There are no real climbs to contend with.

Last year, Kaden Groves and Wout van Aert were the standout sprinters in La Vuelta, each taking three stage wins. Pavel Bittner also claimed a sprint victory.

Timing will be crucial in Guijuelo, as the final 2 kilometres rise steadily at moderate gradients.

The first three riders across the line gain 10, 6 and 4 bonus seconds, while the intermediate sprint carries 6, 4 and 2 seconds.
