Jonathan Milan Wins Final Stage
You could see it coming from miles away, And it panned out exactly as expected. Jonathan Milan powered to victory in the final stage of the Tour of Valencia. Santiago Buitrago’s overall win was never in danger, with João Almeida and Pello Bilbao finishing second and third.
At the start, breakaway riders Jokin Murguialday, Sinuhé Fernández, Joan Bou, Quentin Bezza, Nathan Smith, and Edgar David Cadena opened up a 2 minutes lead. That’s all they got.
The attackers were reeled in with 5 kilometres remaining before Jonathan Milan stormed to a commanding victory in the ensuing bunch sprint.
Santiago Buitrago sealed the overall victory.
