Stage 4 of the 2025 Tour de Romandie is in the books. The final results and standings are below, followed by our recap of how the race unfolded.

Martinez Wins Stage, Takes Overall Lead
In the final four kilometers of the queen stage, João Almeida and Lenny Martinez moved ahead together. The Frenchman outpaced Almeida at Thyon 2000 to secure both the stage victory and the leader’s jersey. Lorenzo Fortunato and João Almeida followed in second and third place in the general classification, trailing by just 2 and 3 seconds, respectively.
On the initial climb, Louis Barré, Julien Bernard, and KOM leader Ben Zwiehoff teamed up to establish a lead exceeding one minute. Zwiehoff earned the most mountain points at the summit and repeated this achievement in Lens, ultimately clinching the KOM classification on the ascent to Nax.
The trio increased their advantage to just over two minutes at its peak during the stage. However, by the onset of the final climb, Zwiehoff had fallen back, and the gap for the remaining two riders had already decreased to under a minute.
Yellow jersey holder Alex Baudin was dropped from the peloton with 15 kilometers left, and shortly after, Bernard was the last rider to be caught.
With 8 kilometers remaining until the summit, Remco Evenepoel fell off the pace of the main group. Approximately 2 kilometers later, the group had narrowed down to João Almeida, Jay Vine, Lenny Martinez, and Lorenzo Fortunato.
In the concluding 4 kilometers, Almeida and Martinez pushed ahead together. Their collaboration was not without complications, yet they managed to maintain their lead. In the final sprint, the young Frenchman narrowly edged out the Portuguese for the win, and the accompanying time bonus earned him the yellow jersey.
