Team Visma | Lease a Bike Win TTT
Team Visma | Lease a Bike stormed to victory in the TTT of Paris-Nice. Defending champion Matteo Jorgenson crossed the line together with Jonas Vingegaard and took the lead in the overall classification. The double Tour de France winner sits in second place.
āIām proud of the boys," Jorgenson said at the finish. "I think we did the plan as well as we could, and Iām happy with the commitment of everyone. I donāt take it for granted to have six riders so strong and committed next to me. We wanted to use our two āmotorbikesā, Per [Strang Hagenes] and Edo [Affini]. They did their turns before the steep climb, and the goal was to have four of us on top. Then, it was about navigating the last corners as fast as possible to the finish.
Iām excited to actually race with the yellow jersey! I didnāt wear it in race last year, I took it on the last day. I want just to feel what it is to race with the Maillot Jaune. Itās iconic. Now we have to defend and I think we have the team to do it after what we saw today. I feel pretty good and Iām also just happy to be here with Jonas. Heās a super nice guy and Iām confident for the next few days.ā
