2025 Giro d'Italia Stage 10 Live Coverage
Welcome to our live coverage of Stage 10 of the 2025 Giro d'Italia! Our live time-trial times and commentary are below, followed by a preview of the technical aspects of the route.
Course Preview
The Giro d’Italia will hold its second individual time trial on the tenth day of competition, covering a distance of 28.6 kilometers from Lucca to Pisa.
Last year, Lucca hosted a stage finish where Benjamin Thomas triumphed after breaking away from the pack about 80 kilometers from the end. This success resulted from the peloton’s ineffective coordination on a nearly flat final stretch.
This year, however, the peloton won't be able to miscalculate, as it will not exist for this stage. The race from Lucca to Pisa is a predominantly flat individual time trial that emphasizes maintaining high speeds in the big gear.
There are two intermediate time checks along the route—one at kilometer 8.4 and another at kilometer 20.5. The finish line is located near the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa.
In last year’s Giro, there were two individual time trials. The first, concluding with a climb, was won by Tadej Pogačar, while the second, which was mostly flat, went to Filippo Ganna.
