Course Preview
The final stage of the Tour de Romandie is a lumpy race of 150.8 kilometres with an elevation gain of almost 1,800 metres. The route goes up and down from start to finish, but the climbs are negligible.
Actually the race features only one climb. It’s the 1.5 kilometres section at 4.4% that leads the riders to Dardagny. Since it is part of a 35 kilometres circuit that the riders are to take on four times, it is included four times.
The race enters the circuit shortly after the start proper, while the finish is situated at the same place where the neutral start was – at the Chemin du Château-Bloch in Vernier, 9.9 kilometres before the start proper.
A bunch sprint is the most likely outcome of the final stage in Romandie.
