Course Preview

The 19th stage of the Vuelta a España is a race of 177.1 kilometres between La Beñeza and Íscar. The route is virtually flat, so - on paper - this one should be for the fast men.

It’s been awhile, but La Bañeza did see a Vuelta peloton before. The 5th stage of the 1989 edition set off from the place in the southern part of the province León. The race went to Béjar and Eddy Planckaert took the spoils

Another sprint is in the cards in Íscar, as the route features only 935 vertical metres. The rider who wins in the little town in the province Valladolid will be the first rider to do so, as La Vuelta has never been here before.

The 19th stage starts at 13:15 and the race is expected to finish around 17:30 – both are local times (CEST).
