Primož Roglič wins stage 5
Jumbo Visma's Primož Roglič took the Catalunya bull by the horns today on the stage 5, stamping his authority all over the final climb up Lo Port neutralizing blows from his closest rival, Remco Evenepoel (SOQ) and delivering the final one just meters from the line. João Almeida (UAD) finished third after bridging across, then hanging on to the duo in the final kilometres.
"I'm still just coming back and it was a long time since I did this kind of effort in racing. I'm super happy. Like I said the first day, 300 or 500 metres of climbing was enough - but it's getting better and now I'm enjoying it.
"It's still two hard days to come. Not tomorrow probably but for sure the day after - three days and we'll do our best and see."
