Ayuso wins queen stage
Juan Ayuso (UAD) won the queen stage of the Tour de Suisse, taking the biggest win of his young career on the slopes of the Albulapass, the final HC categorized climb of the 211km stage. The 20-year-old raised his arms in victory around a minute ahead of Mattias Skjelmose (Trek-Segafredo) who took second place and went back into the lead of the race. Pello Bilbao (Bahrain Victorious) finished third on the stage.
"Yesterday, I had no legs and just had to suffer, but today I felt much better," Ayuso said. "It was a hard stage, long with lots of climbing and altitude, but in the end, when the pace increased, I started feeling better and better."
