A series of hills mark the heart of the 3rd stage of the Tour de France Femmes. The route levels out considerably in the last 55 kilometres before the final 12 kilometres are as flat as a curling rink.

A modest climb from the start is followed by a prolonged downhill leading towards the beginning of the hilly zone. In short succession the riders tackle the Côte du Peyroux and Côte du Pératel, respectively 4.8 kilometres long at 4% and 2 kilometres at 5.3%. Following a number of unclassified slopes the Côte de l’Escurotte appears after 50 kilometres. This is a 2.6 kilometres climb at 4.7%.

The route continues in rolling fashion until another long descent leads to the foot of the lasts two hills of the day. The Côte des Andrieux and Côte de Saint-Robert – 2.6 kilometres at 4.1% and 1.1 kilometres at 6.2% – are actually one climb with a 2 kilometres false flat in the middle. Still 55 kilometres to go at the summit of the Saint-Robert.

The route continues on gently undulating terrain until a false flat of 8 kilometres long leads to Badefois-d’Ans. The riders move through the village with 26 kilometres remaining. Following another slightly undulating section the route descends to Le Lardin-Saint-Lazare, while the last 12 kilometres are as flat as can be.
