Annemiek Van Vleuten (Movistar Team Women) powered away 62km away from the finish line of stage 7 to win and take over the yellow jersey by a significant margin ahead of Demi Vollering (Team SD Worx). Cecilie Ludwig (FDJ Nouvelle-Aquitaine Futuroscope) was third.
