Vos wins stage 2
Marianne Vos (Team Jumbo-Visma) won the second stage of the Tour de France Femmes and took the yellow jersey from Lorena Wiebes (Team DSM) after the Dutch star sprinted out of the breakaway ahead of Silvia Persico (Valcar - Travel & Service) and Katarzyna Niewiadoma (Canyon/SRAM Racing).
“It’s not revenge, it’s just beautiful, a beautiful day,” Vos said after taking second on the first stage.
“For now it’s definitely the best [victory], it’s incredible,” she said. “Of course, you’re here and trying to be focused but to take victory today it’s beautiful I have to thank my team.”
