Pogačar wins Il Lombardia
Tadej Pogačar (UAD) outsprinted Enric Mas (MOV) to take his second victory at the final monument of the season. Mikel Landa (TBV) finished third, earning his first podium finish in a monument.
“It’s great to repeat last year’s success. I tried to attack on the Civiglio but Mas was at the same level as me. I was convinced I could beat him in the sprint and so it was. At the Giro dell’Emilia I was not at my best after the trip to Australia for the World Championships but this week my condition improved. This victory makes my 2022 almost perfect“.
