Kämna wins on Mt. Etna
Lennard Kämna (Bora - Hansgrohe) won the first mountain finish at the Giro d'Italia after outkicking Juan Pedro López (Trek - Segafredo) in the final metres of the 172km stage in Sicily. Lopez slammed the bars in frustration after not winning the stage, but the young Spaniard will take the maglia rosa as consolation. Rein Taaramäe (Intermarché - Wanty - Gobert Matériaux) took third, 34 seconds behind.
Juan Pedro López (Trek - Segafredo) leads the overall, 39 seconds ahead of Lennard Kämna (Bora - Hansgrohe) and 58 seconds ahead of Rein Taaramäe (Intermarché - Wanty - Gobert Matériaux).
