Course Preview
Despite the uncertainty surrounding whether or not the world championships would continue because of Covid-19, the UCI has made it happen! However, this year, only the elite men and women will be fighting for the TT and Road rainbow stripes.
The first race on the world championship schedule is the women's elite individual time trial. At 31.7km, it's the same distance as the men's and takes place on a power course with a modest altitude gain of just 143m (469ft). Chloe Dygert will defend her championship title and will leave the ramp last at 1555 CEST.
Riders from all over the world will start at the famous Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, cross the Santerno River, and turn onto Via Montanara. The first 25 kilometres are either completely flat or on a slight gradient. The route is a loop, and after the intermediate split in Borgo Tossigagno, the riders will turn back toward Imola to power to the finish.
