Course Preview
It's another big day in the mountains, with two HC category mountain passes on the menu: Furka and Klausen. After 21.8 kilometres, the riders will first climb up Furka pass. The 16.5 kilometre climb averages 6.3 percent. Once that's done and dusted, the peloton will head to the second test of the day, the long trek up Klausenpass. This climb has two parts. The first 11.5 kilometres feature a 4.8 percent gradient. The road plateaus for almost a kilometre before rising up for 12.5 kilometres at 7.2 percent. Once the riders reach the summit, they'll have 70 kilometre left in the stage.
