Course Preview
Starting in Praia a Mare, host of yesterday's finish, today's stage is the second summit finish of the Giro d'Italia. After some early climbing along the coast on the Tyrrhenian Sea to shake out the legs, the race will enjoy a flat middle section before heading up the final climb. Montevergine di Mercogliano will play host to the mountaintop finish and the only KOM of the day, classified as 17 kilometers long and averaging five percent.
