Course Preview

We're about halfway through the Giro d'Italia, but there's no rest for the weary. At 239 kilometers, this is the longest distance of this year's edition. After the race leaves Penne, it travels uphill almost immediately to the first KOM point of the day, just 20 kilometers into the stage at Fonte della Creta. A sharp downhill then it's back up again to the second KOM at Bruzzolana at 55 kilometers. It will be about 150 kilometers before the riders see the next and final climb at Annifo before a downhill descent to the finish in Gualdo Tadino.
