Course Preview

The final stage of this year's Critérium du Dauphiné isn't a procession into Paris like the Dauphine's big brother, Le Tour de France. It's a 136 kilometre hammer fest from Moûtiers to Saint-Gervais Mont Blanc that could decide the overall. With two huge climbs on the menu before the final climb of 9.8 kilometres and averaging 8 percent, this will be the last test to see who will wear the coveted yellow jersey. The first test comes at kilometre 43 with the Col des Saisie, a 15.1 kilometre slope that averages 6.4 percent. The stage begins at 11 am local time.
