Course Preview

Another long one today, starting off from the city of Troyes and traveling 213 kilometres to Nuits-Saint-Georges. It will be another flat and fast stage, with the sprinters looking for more chances at victories. Only one little categorised lump to clear, the Côte d'Urcy 147.5 kilometres into the stage.

Frankie Andreu's take: Another long stage and a chance for redemption for any sprinters that didn’t pick the right hole, or lane, to get a chance to show their speed. At this the point the time bonuses are not much of a factor for the sprinters but the points for the Green jersey will be extremely valuable. It’s a delicate balance between risk and reward because if you miss out on points here you could see your chance for wearing the Green jersey disappear forever. The mountains are coming and this is one of their last opportunities before suffering for survival on the climbs.
