Course Preview
A mild stage starting in Mondorf-les-Bains and finishing in Vittel, that will be suited for the sprinters, stage 4 offers just one cat. 4 climb on the latter half of the stage. However, with flat stages wind could play a factor, so an easy run in to Vittel isn't guaranteed.
Frankie Andreu's take: A stage for sprinters the race should be fast and furious. With no large time gaps the field can’t relax and let too large a group escape or the breakaway gain much time. We should see cooperation from the sprinter teams to work together and this will make it hard for any break to succeed. It could be windy and we have seen what happens when a team commits to a cross wind battle. This will not be a relaxing stage for any of the riders.
