Course Preview

Stage 19 marks perhaps the last chance for the breakaway riders and sprinters to have some fun along the lavender fields of Provence. At 222.5km, it’s the longest stage of the Tour de France, meaning it’ll be no easy task to get to Provence without some effort.

Frankie Andreu's take: Nothing like prolonging the torture to get to the finish in Paris. This is the longest stage of the TDF, and after completing the Alps, the rolling countryside will be leg breaking. The stage hunters should have their take at this one as the yellow jersey will be content to sit in and try to stay as rested as possible for the time trial.
