Course Preview

Stage 6 of the Critérium du Dauphiné will preview the last 60 kilometres of this year’s stage 9 of the Tour de France. It’s relatively shorter than other stages in the Dauphiné, but that doesn’t mean it’s easier. At 145.5 km, the stage begins in Parc des Oiseaux near Villars-les-Dombes and takes in two lesser categorised climbs before the road turns up to Mont du Chat with 15.5 km remaining.

The HC climb is almost 9 kilometres long, averaging 10 percent. After the riders clear the ascent, it’s all downhill from there to La Motte-Servolex, host of this year’s finish.\n
