Course Preview

Stage 5 of the Critérium du Dauphiné is another long climbing day through Burgundy. Over 175 kilometres, traveling from La Tour-de-Salvagny to Mâcon, the peloton will crest six categorised climbs before the finish.

The biggest test is the category 2 climb, Col du Fut d’Avenas. At almost nine kilometres and average gradient of 5 percent, it’ll be hardest of four climbs in a 32 kilometre range.

The riders will face 2,363m of total elevation gain.
