Course Preview
The first of two road stages in the Netherlands will begin in the province of Gelderland. After passing the Veluwe National Park, the course will head over the Rhine river a few times before turning slightly hilly in Berg-en-Dal, where the riders will see the first KOM of the Giro. When the route reaches the finishing town of Nijmegen, there will be an 8.6 circuit that will be passed twice. It's a flat stage, so look for the sprinters to take top honors in Nijmegen.
