Course Preview
This is the Giro's queen stage, traveling over the Dolomites. The route heads over six mountain passes and across the Val Cordevole to Arraba. The hardest climb of the day is Passo Giau, which averages at nine percent and tops out at 12 percent at the summit. The race is calling the Passo Sella the "Pantani mountain" of the Giro, where he crossed the Passo Sella to arrive at Selva di Val Gardena to nab the Maglia Rosa.
