User Survey Reponse

As we approach the 2026 Tour de France I'm focused on getting a new release out to fans. I already had a list of updates to the app in testing, but decided to get feedback from users again about features they would love to see. The response was awesome and some of them will indeed make it into the app.

Some however are already in the app in one form or another! So I wanted to reply en masse with my thoughts on your thoughts. Allan.

"I would like to be able to open a stage race list, then open stage 1, open profile, and be able to swipe (left and right) to the stage 2 profile, then stage 3, back to stage 2 etc. This could apply to maps, descriptions, etc. I have no idea how hard this would be, but it’s a new idea for an already fantastic app!"

This in fact is in the app but not where you expect it. Yes it would be awesome if this were possible anytime you see a profile or map, but since they both scroll left and right themselves, I think users would be frustrated when my code guessed wrong if you meant to switch stages or just scroll the to the start of a zoomed-in profile. Instead go to the Home tab, the Race Overview page on the Stages tab or the Race Overview page on the More tab. There you will find stage and profile "browsers" with buttons at the top to navigate between stages. Hope that answers your prayers.

At one point following the Giro this year, I wanted to know where every rider from one team finished the stage. So being able to filter the stage finishers by team, and perhaps the overall standings as well, would be handy.

This too is in the app via the built-in search bar on almost every page in the app. Getting to it is different on iOS and Android as described in the Tutorial. iOS you just drag down on any list. Android you tap the magnifying glass icon in the title bar. Once visible just start typing the name of a team... Magic!

Audio commentary would be awesome. Of course for an extra fee, but it would nicely supplement my video app that consumers a lot of data when used while traveling.

Awesome idea and I'll try to think how to pull that off. Guessing that just generating audio from the written commentary is not what you are thinking? Send me a note with your thoughts.

Please please please update the riders palmares during the stage races. For instance it is not possible to see Vingegaards four stage victories on your palmares for him.. please update that during.

Another great idea. I will work on that soon!

Recommend Key moments to rewatch when using Time Machine.

Was just talking about this with the reporters and how they could identify important moments. These might also be moments to push to notifications or social media? Thoughts?

The ability to quickly follow up on commentary if I have missed to follow for a period.

Not sure what this means but perhaps similar to the Key moments mentioned above? Send me an email with your thoughts either way,

I’d like the possibility to give the coureurs different colors. So if you have a pool with friends you can see wich friend has wich coureur in his team. Now you only see your own favorites (yellow).

Do you mean you want to assign colors to specific fantasy cycling teams so you can see their riders more easily? Send me a email with more on this idea.

If the banner at the top of the page for the live stream provides an unchanging temperature for race day , perhaps the temperature could also be live-updated as well.

Sounds like this is a bug report as it should be updating already every 15 minutes from where the lead group is and report that. But, to be real, the nearest weather station might not be very close, especially in the mountains. Will look into the bug report ASAP.
